Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs

Are you wondering about whether your hazardous drug handling is safe? Do you feel comfortable with your knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE)? Does your busy schedule demand a convenient, flexible alternative to classroom instruction?

Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs is an informative course providing the quality instruction you expect from ONS in a new, convenient format. The classes are faculty-mediated programs, allowing students to interact directly with the faculty through e-mail and chat forums. Working along with the text, students will engage in self-paced reading assignments, activities, and learning opportunities. Students will interact with faculty through e-mails, chat forums, and ongoing evaluation of assignments. The student forums will provide opportunities to share expertise with colleagues.

This is a self-paced, faculty-led course. Students may access the course at any time during the three-week period that their class is active, and may complete the activities at any time.

All students interested in this course are advised to review the Technical Requirements before purchasing the course.

This course requires your attendance at two live chat forum sessions. Four chat times are offered for your convenience.

Online students will receive 10.3 contact hours of continuing nursing education upon the successful completion of the program.
