Program Information
Who will benefit from the program?
Advanced practice oncology nurses, experienced oncology nurses, nurses new to oncology care, or any healthcare professional with basic knowledge of pharmacotherapy regarding new molecular entities and novel biologics.
Upon completion of this program, users will be able to:
- Apply the principles of clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics to oncology patient care.
- Discuss current indications and emerging clinical data related to monoclonal antibody therapy in the treatment of cancer.
- Discuss new agents and treatment regimens in the care of patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and breast cancer.
- Discuss current indications and emerging clinical data related to the use of small molecular agents in the treatment of cancer.
- Describe pharmacologic management of common co-morbidities in patients with cancer.
- Recognize cancer treatment strategies in clinical development.
