Surgical SIG - The mission of the Surgical Oncology SIG is to promote excellence in surgical oncology nursing by supporting the ONS mission statement, and by developing a knowledge base that promotes excellence in surgical oncology nursing within oncology nursing practice, and increasing resources in order to ensure the continued growth, development and strength of the Surgical Oncology SIG.
Surgery Patient Resource Area - Surgery is the oldest form of treatment for cancer. It is also used to diagnose and stage cancer. The goal of cancer surgery is to remove tumors while preserving as much normal function as possible.
