Genetics Short CourseWhat will be your role in the genetics revolution?Are you ready for the genetics revolution? Do you understand how cancer and genetics are related? Can you provide accurate information for your patients regarding genetic risk for cancer or the use of gene therapy as a cancer treatment? Do you want to include a genetic question, focus, or outcome in your research and education efforts? If you answered, “yes” to any of these questions, the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) invites you to register for the Genetics Short Course for Cancer Nurses. This unique program is designed to increase your knowledge base of this cutting-edge field. ONS is accepting applications from oncology nurses who have completed an advanced Master's and/or Doctoral nursing degree who feel the genetics revolution is happening without them. First consideration will be given to applicants who are ONS members. The date for the final course is as follows: September 14-16, 2007, in Pittsburgh, PA The final Genetics Short Course scheduled for September 14-16, 2007 is closed. No additional applicantions will be accepted or considered. Thank you! The ONS Genetics Short Course for Cancer Nurses is supported by a five-year grant from the National Cancer Institute. Course attendance is free, and travel and per diem expenses are significantly subsidized for participants. This is the final course for the five-year grant from the National Cancer Institute. |
