Radiation Oncology Nurses Enhancing Excellence (RONEE)

Program Modules

The RONEE program is comprised of eight site- and treatment-specific learning modules:

Module 1: Radiation Basics and Childhood Cancers

Each RONEE module reviews specifics regarding treatment for a region of the body or disease. Discussion includes diagnosis and staging, available treatment options, simulation and treatment visits, patient education, discharge planning and follow-up.

The lectures are between one and two hours in length. Each session incorporates a slide presentation, complete with audio and videotape of the lecture, printable transcript, slides, and references. A post-test may be taken and submitted with an evaluation to receive continuing nursing education credit.
