Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Renewal Web Course

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why does the registration link ask for my ONS Profile username and password?
Registration for the Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Renewal web course is processed through the eSource, ONS’s secure online store. The eSource uses the ONS Profile username and password to identify visitors. When you type in your username and password, you will be redirected to the Chemo Renewal course payment page. If you do not have an ONS Profile, you must create one in order to access the payment page.

  2. How much does the course cost?
Course tuition is $29 for members and $34 for nonmembers if you register before the last day of the month in which your provider card expires.

  3. Can I access the course as soon as I pay?
You will not have immediate access to the Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Renewal web course. Within 2 business days of your payment, you will receive an e-mail from an ONS representative indicating that your registration was successful. This e-mail will contain your username, password, and link used to access the course.

  4. How long do I have to complete the course?
Once you have successfully registered for the course, you will have 30 days to complete the course.

  5. My provider card expired. Can I still renew?
Yes! You can renew by taking the Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Renewal Web Course within 30 days after the expiration date. ONS considers the expiration date the last day of the month in which your card expires. You will, however, need to pay an additional fee of $25. The price for renewing during that 30 days after your card expires is $54 for members and $59 for nonmembers.

  6. How do I pay my late fee?
The eSource payment page will charge $29 for members and $34 for nonmembers to register for the course. If your provider card has expired but you are registering within 30 days of its expiration, ONS will contact you separately to pay the additional fee. You may pay by credit card or check. You will not be able to pay this late fee via the eSource.

  7. My provider card expired last year. Can I still renew?
No. If your provider card has been expired for more than 30 days, you will need to attend the two-day ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course to gain this knowledge and earn a new provider card.

  8. A web-based course just isn’t for me. Is there any other way I can renew my card?
Contact ONS at educationchemo@ons.org or 866-257-4ONS, ext. 8326 to discuss your options.
