Renew Your Provider Card Online With the
ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Renewal Web Course!
This self-paced, web-based renewal course is designed for nurses
who have passed the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course and have a
desire to renew their chemotherapy provider card.
The renewal course offers information on practice issues, including error
prevention and safe handling. The course also features case studies focusing
on area under the curve (AUC) dose calculations and symptom management
as well as information on newly-approved medications. Students participating
in the web course have access to a monitored discussion board and 24-hour
access to the course. Students may also print out the information you
would like to keep from the course for later reference.
All students interested in this course are advised to review the Technical
Requirements before purchasing the course.
Once you have registered for the course, you will have 30 days
to complete the course. Register now!
Students who have successfully completed the post test will be able to
print a record of course completion, which can be submitted to their employer
if required. They will receive their updated chemotherapy provider card
and CNE certificate in the mail 4-6 weeks after their current card expires.
ONS contacts provider card holders approximately two months before their
cards are due to expire. Card holders receive a letter explaining changes
in the renewal system and instructions needed to access and use the course.
Web-based students will receive 2.3 contact hours of continuing nursing
education (CNE) upon the successful completion of the program. Visit Learning

NOTE: This renewal course is for nurses who
currently hold an ONS chemotherapy provider card. ONS offers the
Chemotherapy
and Biotherapy Update Course for nurses who do not hold an ONS
Chemotherapy Provider Card. Students completing the Update Course
have the opportunity to enhance their chemotherapy knowledge and
receive CNE credit. However, they will not receive an ONS Chemotherapy
Provider Card.To receive a provider card, a nurse must successfully
complete the two-day ONS
Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course.
