Radiation Therapy Courses

ONS has expanded its educational offerings with the development of a Radiation Therapy Course. This course, designed for both inpatient and ambulatory care nurses, is offered by Radiation Therapy Trainers across the country.

The content of the one-day course is appropriate for those who are new to radiation therapy as well as for those who would like a comprehensive review on this topic. Principles of radiation therapy, new radiation treatment modalities, and management of side effects are among the course key topics. The ONS Manual for Radiation Oncology Nursing Practice (3rd Edition) serves as the required text for the course.
