Meet the Presenters
Janet S. Carpenter, PhD, RN
Hot Flashes, Body Temperature, Metabolism, and Breast Cancer
Janet Carpenter is an Associate Professor at the Indiana University
School of Nursing, where she teaches and conducts research into, among other
topics, hot flash physiology in breast cancer patients. She has conducted
research, presented extensively and is well published on topics including
hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms.
Donna
L. Berry, PhD, RN, AOCN®
Computerized Symptom and Quality of Life Assessment
Donna Berry is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington,
and Clinical Researcher at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle,
Washington, where she teaches and conducts research, primarily in oncology
issues. She has conducted research and is well published on topics including
the development of a computerized symptom and quality of life assessment
for patients with cancer.

A. Badger, PhD, RN
Telephone Intervention Project: Rural Women with Cancer and their Partners
Terry Badger is a Professor at the University of Arizona College
of Nursing, where she teaches and conducts nursing research. Additionally
she is a certified clinical nurse specialist in Adult Psychiatric-Mental
Health Nursing. She has conducted research, presented extensively and
is well published on issues related to telephone interpersonal counseling
of women with breast cancer and their partners.
Pamela
S. Hinds, PhD, RN, CS
Sleep, Fatigue, and Enhanced Activity in Children with Cancer
Pamela Hinds is the Director of Nursing Research at St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital in Tennessee. She has conducted research,
has presented, and is well published on topics including the assessment
of fatigue in children and adolescents with cancer.
